A commitment
to reconciliation

With every project, we acknowledge that the land on which we work is not empty – nor did its story begin with colonisation. These lands are rich in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, knowledge, and cultures. ck architecture has always been committed to advancing reconciliation and understands that it starts by creating culturally safe working practices.

We are proud to announce that we’re continuing our reconciliation journey with the formal endorsement of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) by Reconciliation Australia. The RAP framework and strategic actions underpin our genuine commitment to making our organisation a culturally aware and inclusive workplace for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

An Innovate RAP is the second of four RAP types under Reconciliation Australia’s RAP Framework. Our Innovate RAP details our practice’s reconciliation journey this far, including the completion of our previous Reflect RAP, and the experiences and learnings we’ve had along the way. It also outlines the specific actions we’re committing to undertake over the next two years, to move us closer to achieving our vision for reconciliation.

We’d like to thank Richie Allan, Cultural Director of Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation (TOAC) for his ongoing support and assistance throughout our reconciliation journey.
